🦠 Google Hears Your Sickness

Would you trust an AI Doctor?

Something that remembers every piece of medical literature ever written.

Compared to (maybe) someone who studied 20 years ago achieving average grades.

No shade on doctors, but you can see the potential.

Prompt of the Day 🎨

ElevenLabs SFX Library πŸ”Š

ElevenLabs are well known as the best text-to-voice platform in the game. And the team aren't just stopping there, releasing a massive new sound effects library this week.

Featuring 38 different categories and hundreds of sound effects, it's an amazing resource for content creators. You can also generate your own custom sound effects using the text-to-sfx feature.

Adding this alongside their existing voice cloning, voice changing, and voiceover and dubbing studios, ElevenLabs is becoming a one stop shop for everything AI audio. I suspect AI music is something they are definitely working on behind the scenes too!

RIP Call Centers πŸͺ¦

We all know the feeling of being stuck on hold waiting for customer service. Well, thanks to AI that's becoming a thing of the past.

Bland.ai just secured $22 million in funding for their AI customer service bot. The AI can talk in any language or voice and handle millions of calls simultaneously. Check out the video, it's pretty impressive. πŸ‘‡

The thing that has most people concerned though, is that the AI can also make outgoing calls. Potentially resulting in a massive increase in unwanted cold calling.

You can have a conversation with Bland now on their website.

Introducing Minimax 🎞️

It's been a few weeks since we've seen a new AI video generator, but Chinese company Minimax have just changed that, released their "Sora killer" - Minimax.

They've released a short film showcasing the model on X. πŸ‘‡

It looks good, but remembering that these types of demos usually show the best of the best the model can produce. I don't see much that would make me cancel my Runway subscription!

You can (try) to use it for free here.

Google Can Hear Sickness 🦠

Google have teamed up with an Indian startup developing bioacoustic AI models to detect diseases like tuberculosis from human sounds.

The AI system has been trained on 300 million audio samples and can analyze coughs to screen for TB with 94% accuracy using just a smartphone. This makes it far more accessible and affordable than traditional methods.

Google is also researching an ultrasound-based AI model for early breast cancer detection, aiming to provide free screening globally.

2 more examples of how AI is helping people live longer and healthier lives (which are often overshadowed by doomer type stories.)

Agent.ai πŸ€–

Agent.ai is a cool project created by the cofounder of Hubspot, Dharmesh. Basically, it's a place where you can find and connect with a range of different AI agents. These agents can do all sorts of things including meme generation, website evaluation, keyword research, and more.

Currently, the agents are internally developed. But, the plan is to open this up to the world. Dharmesh thinks in a year or two, it'll be as common to build AI agents to solve customer problems as it is to build web apps today.

Given Dharmesh's track record, I wouldn't bet against it either! You can try agent.ai with 100 free credits to get you started.

There's an emerging trend putting intelligent AI into closed systems and observing the behaviors. Given the rate AI systems can adapt, it's possible we might just learn a few things about our own civilization. And even our destiny.
